Do you want to strengthen the bond with your cat? Make them love you a little bit more? There’s no better way than Interactive playing. It is a way to make your cat exercise, release stress but also a way to sharpen their hunting skills and have fun with them.

The playing Area

First, you need to create a safe place for a playing area, where your cat cannot break anything. Cats often choose their own favorite area, so try to respect their choice, as they are the masters of the house ;).

The toys

Cats love playing with objects; they can basically play with anything such as toys, balls, or even Cardboard boxes. It is all the same! But you have to be careful. Cats are like babies, they will swallow any object they can fit in their mouth, so you have to make sure to keep them away from small or sharp objects.

The Playing time

The best toys for cats are soft objects such as soft cotton toys or feather toys that you can move by mimicking small cat prey movements. It will make your cat energetic. But be careful not to leave the toy out after the playing session, your cat will overplay with it and will find it boring after some time. The best way to end the playtime is when you feel that your cat is losing interest, which is generally after 10 to 15 minutes of playtime.

You can enjoy playing with or without toys. For example, you can play hide-and-seek, but be sure you will lose every time! Cats are perfect hunters.

Don’t forget that every cat is special and different from others, try to notice what they like! Most of the time, the presence of a second cat can help an alone cat to find its happiness, as they can keep each other company when you are away.
